Melbourne and Victoria
Melbourne, the second-largest city in Australia is the nation's cultural hub. There is always something happening, and every occasion is celebrated with a festival.... fashion, art, music, food, film, family activities, and multicultural festivals.
It’s a great destination for those that love anything sports. The Melbourne Cup, Australian Open Tennis, and Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix are just a few of the prestigious athletic events that take place in the city. There is a slight obsession with Aussie Rules here too, it’s quite an incredible experience to watch a live game at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. With a capacity of just over 100,000 it really is a great night out.
Trams, laneways, great coffee, arty street art graffiti, mouth-watering menus, and shopping adds to the many many things Melbourne has to offer. This place is all the C’s - cool, cosmopolitan, and chic!
Right on the city’s doorstep is the rugged splendour of the Great Ocean Road, the vineyards of the Yarra Valley, and the wildlife wonderland that is Phillip Island. Some of the best bushwalking terrain in the state can be found in Victoria’s splendid National Parks such as Wilsons Promontory, the Grampians, Mount Buffalo, and the Yarra Ranges.
