Perth and Western Australia
In Perth, you’ll find plenty of sunshine, stunning scenery and laid-back charm. Situated beside the Swan River, this picturesque city has a charming blend of big city hustle and bustle and serene surroundings. Located on the southwest coast of Australia, there is no shortage of sandy beaches.
Home to sculpted gardens and nature bushlands known as Kings Park and Botanic Garden, this is one of the biggest inner-city parks in the world and larger than New York’s Central Park. That’s something! Get yourself up Mount Eliza for sweeping views of the city.
The Perth Cultural Centre houses the state ballet and opera companies, and occupies its own central precinct, including a theatre, library and the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
Cottesloe Beach, with more than a kilometre of pristine white sand, is one of Perth's most well-liked locations for all things water - swimming, snorkelling, and surfing. Margaret River is a small town in Western Australia, located to the south of Perth renowned for its wineries (best known for cabernet sauvignon and shiraz), boutique stores, and craft breweries.
A popular area of Scarborough Beach offers a children's adventure playground, local art, a number of skate bowls (for the teens!), a rock climbing wall, half-court basketball, workout equipment (if relevant on holiday), and an amphitheatre can all be found here.
Perth is also the only place on the planet where you may see quokkas, the world's sweetest animal.
