- Invest in a good suitcase that caters for your needs and travel journey eg: wheelie bags can mean less lifting and carrying a backpack is great if you're getting off the beaten track
- Take a good camera
- Get off the beaten track, you will see more and experience as the locals do
- Universal USB charger
- Try something new - travelling is about sample new cultures, new food and new experiences
- Carry a small amount of local cash many local establishments don’t take credit card
- Ziplock bags – take a few, they are great for using at airport security, but also handy for travelling in general
- Ensure you take your own (good quality) headphones for inflight movies
- Take a book to read in case you are delayed anywhere
- Always cary hand sanitiser and baby wipes (so many uses for these)
- Take in your main bag charcoal tablets, disprin/pamol, mosquito spray
